Asamoah Gyan the Captain of the black stars has hit back at his fellow team mates who are claiming he has used their legs for ”juju” to rather work hard and stop riding on him for fame.
Prince Tagoe who feels embittered that Gyan is the Captain instead of him or Michael Essien has thrown some punches at the Captain of the national team and has questioned his leadership capabilities but Gyan has come out to defend himself by saying that he has paid his dues as a Ghanaian and that it is his hard work that is paying off so people should take a chill pill..
“When people want to become famous, they often try to use my name. The captain was given to me six years ago so why now? These people are only tarnishing my image because they know they can get the fame they are craving for after this.
“I worked really hard to earn the fame that I’m enjoying. Prince Tagoe and Nana Aba Anamoah are only using my name for fame,” he added.
There is currently a divided opinion about who should wield the armband. West Ham United ace Ayew, who has never hidden his desire to succeed Gyan, holds a good share of support to take over the role.
Asamoah Gyan mentions Nana Aba Anamoah because she has never hidden her opinion that the Black Stars will be better under the leadership of Andre. Gyan, meanwhile, has announced intentions to quit international football after the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations.
Gyan is currently a business mogul and is playing his football in Turkey and has hopes to engage in more businesses to help grow the economy. According yo him, it is his love for the Nation that keeps him going and unlike other football stars who enjoys their money alone, he invests the money he makes in the nation by creating jobs and employing over 300 people.
